Warby Parker Selects Globe Guard® Shipping Boxes for New “Home Try-On” Program

Warby Parker HTO box exteriorTo call Warby Parker a supplier of eye glasses and Globe Guard a supplier of boxes are gross understatements because both companies are so committed to excel in markets where many competitors feel good is good enough. Warby Parker understands the container they use to deliver their products to their customers is more than a shipping box, it is in fact a communication tool and a presentation box. At Salazar Packaging and Globe Guard Products we are thrilled they chose us to help satisfy their branding objectives as well as their lofty standards.

A great new way to buy eyewear!

The Warby Parker Home Try-On program is a wonderful idea for people like me who have a difficult time deciding on a new pair of eyeglasses. The usual “in store” process is time consuming and inconvenient. I always feel rushed to make my selection because a well-meaning sales person is “waiting” on me. This new Warby Parker program allows customers to select up to five different frames and have them delivered to their home where they can wear them for up to thirty days with no cost or obligation. Imagine having aTwo colors on printed light gray interiorn opportunity to get comfortable with the way a new pair of eye glasses feel and look, before making a purchase decision? That is the way I want to go!

Packaging solution – a two way die cut mailer with a unique look.

After making their selection, the customer is asked to return the eye glass samples in the same box so the first requirement was that the box be hearty enough to hold up for at least two rigorous trips through the shipping and return process.

In addition to needing a strong container, Warby Parker also wanted a distinct, classy look that is consistent with their quality and image. The quality of the board being used inside and outside is critical because no one can achieve a great look when printing on substandard materials. So the talented Warby Parker graphic design team combined with the structural design and board Finished box with insertspecification people at Salazar Packaging to make sure the end result is attractive, eye catching, and impressive.

Making packaging painless.

We wish we could supply samples of finished printed shipping boxes the way Warby Parker is able to supply samples of eye glass frames but that simply is not practical and or cost effective. However, we are able to help make the design process as easy as possible with unprinted samples, mock ups, ink draw downs, and drawings to make sure the end result is exactly what you envision and require.

If you agree a shipping box can and should be more than just a shipping box, please call us at 630-551-1700 or contact us at Salazar Packaging to discuss your needs. I can personally assure you we will do everything possible to help you deliver your product to your customers safely in a container designed and manufactured to impress.
